The effect of the media in the current world war against terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism is HUGE. TV sets act as “force multipliers” sending terrorizing images into every living room across the world – serving the terrorist’s objectives of ‘breaking the peoples’ morale’ and creating political pressure on governments. Without these TVs and satellite real-time coverage, suicide attacks and the beheading of ‘infidel’ journalists would not be such a useful tool for their perpetrators. They would not create nearly as much impact.

Has the security of Americans in general – the man, woman and child on the street – really changed? No. Zero. Why?
