Has the security of Americans in general – the man, woman and child on the street – really changed? No. Zero. Why? Because we continue to be a target to Islamic fundamentalists and we continue to be unprotected. Let me explain. We all know that Zarqawi and Bin Laden are serious terrorists with blood on their hands. Yet, with the passage of time there is an even more dangerous threat on the horizon: his name, though not so known to the general public, is Imad Mughniyah. What makes this so?
Bin Laden’s al-Qaeda is like a terrorist “rotary club” where just about anyone wanting to take action against the ‘evil and heretic’ western world is welcomed to do so and offered help from their various cells around the globe. On the other hand, Mughniyah’s special operations commando in Hizballah is a special trained force, systematically indoctrinated and experienced in carrying out special operations worldwide, such as the bombings in Argentina. Furthermore, Mughniyah’s well trained James Bond-type terrorists use the Iranian embassies throughout the world (and their immunity) as safe-houses and providers of safe communications and materials needed to carry out their terrorist attacks. They are the ones that will most likely be deployed to hit the US at a convenient time, such as when talks over Iran’s nuclear ambitions reach a dead end encouraging dialogue on possible western intervention. Since Iran’s president Ahmadinejad took office he has been placing the right players in the right places for what could be his “wild card” against the west: an army of terrorists ready to attack on his command. This can be seen with his appointment of Mostafa Mohammad-Najar as Minister of Defence, who was Mugniyah’s right hand man for several years. So…why is it that we are so excited with Zarqawi’s death and how revealing are the polls held a few hours later asking the American people if they feel more secure now that this terrorist is gone? After all, do most of us know the real picture or are our emotions a result of a confusing and perhaps false debate boosted into our “coffee-chat” by misleading reports from the media? Assume nothing. Be prepared.
In an interview granted to an Iranian TV channel, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hassan Nasrallah’s deputy, stresses that Hezbollah’s policy of terrorist operations against Israel (including suicide bombings and rocket fire) requires jurisprudent permission of t
